The IMAGE of the place and attitude of employees does not say HIRE US! Customer service is key with an image to boot. Now it is you as a businesses owner's job to represent your company with it's well being in mind. Treat your business like a marriage if you treat it just right or even like a gentleman or lady should, it will stick around for a few. Branding can be like a marriage or rebranding is like renewing your vows. Making a fresh look that says my products hot! Ask your staff for ideas, digg deep think big and let it out. It has been my experience that clients want you to stay on top of them. Updates ever so often by phone. Month by month meetings, and the occasional email to update their status or work in progress. And as everyone says customer service is key, but where does customer service end if you are going above and beyond and becoming a business mentor for others. In my world I am constantly asked for advice personal and professional. I like to give it to everyone straight not to say that what I say is always right but to go through a life I have lived takes an enormous person. My advice for my clients currently is to make their employees and themselves better brand embassodors. Employees and business owners alike need to step up their game. For instance have your employees talk more about there jobs and services that you offer so when someone they do know overhears that naturally they'll think of there friend. Sorry if my spelling gets messed up my kids tore out some of my laptop keys, eh as my candian friend kory would say. Now back to being an ambassodor, have your employees search for your service on the internet through keywords chosen and when they find your site no matter what page its on have them click on your site and only your site. What I believe and am pretty sure this does is give you a bit better ranking because all these different ips are popping up and clicking your site as the most rellevant search would make the crawlers believe your site carries weight. Now when I say this its in regards to all the back folders and links on sites. Coding a little more true and following what i would say is good conduct. From what I've been noticing a huge trend with local web designers. The worse trend a design firms could possibly have. What is it you ask, well let's start by saying that a lot of these companies take money and run. They start doing work and don't finish once they are paid or when your try to get in contact with them they are nowhere to be found. Now to me I'm dumbfounded about this. Truth be told a lot of developers do not charge enough for their services. Over worked and underpaid. It's important to understand time is money so when you want a change or a makeover it will and should always cost more. Some designers take far much more time and effort into the design and coding than is necessary. My solution for one, hire us or find a developer that you can meet face to face with and keep track of their work and one that calls you to give updates and things of that nature.
